Internationally touring DJ-turned-pop artist Marty Dunstan was born in the Greater Chicago area. His love for music began early—at just two years old, riding in the car with his mother singing song after song on the radio. That passion grew even stronger with the release of Guitar Hero 3 on the Nintendo Wii, sparking his dream of becoming a musician and a performer.

After moving from Chicago to Oregon to New Jersey, just outside New York City, Marty began exploring music more deeply when he received his first laptop at age 12. Throughout his teenage years, he learned multiple instruments and later picked up production and songwriting in high school, which ultimately led him to pursue music production in college.

During his early high school years, Marty also discovered DJing, sending him down a massive rabbit hole of music discovery that helped shape his sound and artistic identity.

After years of writing and producing, Marty launched his artist project in 2025 with his debut single “Pick Up Your Phone,” an energetic pop-rap track with R&B influences that captures the feeling of summer, youth, and fresh nostalgia. Since then, he has released a trilogy of EPs showcasing different sides of his artistry—from high-energy party records to introspective ballads and love-driven pop.

As a DJ, Marty has performed across more than 40 U.S. states and internationally, building a reputation for commanding crowds with unmatched energy and precision. He has shared stages with artists including Flo Rida, Swae Lee, Juice WRLD, and Two Friends, while also working with global brands such as Red Bull, Netflix, Raising Cane’s, Comcast, and Barclays.

In addition to his pop project, Marty runs an electronic alias, @itsmartymarvel, whose music is played by DJs worldwide. The project has amassed over 9,000 followers and 700,000+ streams on SoundCloud, further cementing his growing impact across multiple corners of the music world.
